The Democratic Union (DS) political party believes that the Parliament has a majority of MPs who can make a decision to dissolve the Parliament, which will create conditions for holding the second round of presidential and parliamentary elections on the same day.
“As of March 13, 2024, the constitutional and legal deadlines for holding presidential elections begin, whereby the parliamentary parties that can form a majority for the dissolution of the Parliament should determine the election timing.
After the disastrous Report of the European Commission and the collapse of government institutions, the DUIzation and criminalization of the state, it is quite certain that the Government has no legitimacy to continue ruling. The further existence of the Government under the leadership of DUI threatens the unity and national interests of Macedonia,” said the Democratic Union.
