Siljanovska-Davkova on an official visit to Italy and the Holy See to attend “Macedonia in honor of St. Cyril”


Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is staying and leading the state-church delegation visiting Italy and the Holy See on the occasion of the manifestation “Macedonia in honor of St. Cyril”.

On May 23, President Siljanovska Davkova will have an audience with Pope Francis, followed by a meeting with the Secretary for Relations with States.

The celebration of the Pan-Slavic educators Cyril and Methodius will take place on May 24, including a visit to St. Cyril’s grave the Basilica of St. Clement, followed by a visit to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Siljanovska-Davkova will lay a wreath at the plate with a Macedonian inscription.

During the visit to Rome, President Siljanovska-Davkova will meet with Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella.
