Talks with ZNAM ongoing in positive atmosphere, still no agreement, says VMRO-DPMNE


VMRO-DPMNE has not reached a final agreement regarding its potential government coalition partners but talks are ongoing in a positive atmosphere, the VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Naum Stoilkovski said when asked by reporters whether the ZNAM Movement would be part of their government and if so, which ministries they would get to run.

Late Saturday, the ZNAM Movement informed that a meeting on cooperation with VMRO-DPMNE was held at the level of the parties’ deputy leaders, where strategic determinations, political principles and a political platform for cooperation were discussed.

“The ZNAM Movement – For our Macedonia, bases its platform on the ideological pillars of the ZNAM Movement – For our Macedonia, which are Macedonia, a modern, democratic, European state, based on Ilinden and Asnom values, integration of the country into the European Union in a dignified manner; then the Republic of Macedonia, a state in which there is justice for all and zero tolerance for corruption; Macedonia as a self-sustaining country that will produce enough food and energy for its needs, accelerated and efficient reforms in the economy and social policies in the direction of improving the standard of living of citizens, as well as stable inter-ethnic relations,” reads the ZNAM Movement’s press release.
