Parliament Committee approves appanage for 29 MPs from the last Parliament composition


TheParliament’s Committee on Election and Appointment Issues accepted on Tuesday the request for appanage to 29 MPs from the previous composition. Other requests have been submitted and are being considered, informed the Committee president GjorgijaSajkoski.

According to the legal provisions, the appanage is in the amount of the MP’s salary and is paid by the Assembly, that is, the organization in which the person held the office.

According to information from the Parliament, 57 MPs from the previous composition have the right to appanage because they are not part of the new composition. The deadline for submitting appanage requests began on the day of verification of the mandates of the members of the new parliamentary composition 2024-2028, and ends in 30 days, i.e. on June 28.
