Macedonian President GordanaSiljanovskaDavkova will most likely hand the mandate for the creation of government to VMRO-DPMNE leader HristijanMickoski on Thursday, party sources told reporters. The deadline for the handing of the mandate expires on June 7.

President Siljanovska-Davkova told the media on Tuesday that it was possible to grant the mandate for the formation of a new government earlier.

“It is possible to hand the mandate a bit earlier. It all depends on the situation. The Constitution says 10 days and then 20 days to form the government. I will study the terms,” Siljanovska-Davkova said in response to the media before the start of the panel discussion “The European Union as a challenge and the challenges of the European Union: Europe 74 years after the Schuman Declaration” organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the European Movement.
