Outgoing government made a decision to increase electricity prices

The outgoing government made a decision at a session behind closed doors to increase the price of electricity by 5 percent, and ESM to sell electricity for 60 instead of the previous 57 euros per megawatt hour.

Sources close to the new government announce that the new government will protect the standard of the citizens and will not allow an increase in the price of electricity. The new government will also have a separate Ministry of Energy, which announces a review of the operations of ESM and TPP Bitola.

Researches, reports TV Sitel, show that two thirds of Macedonian citizens are in energy poverty and are looking for any way to save on electricity. Therefore, PM-designate Mickoski announced that he will abolish the fee of MKD 200 for access to the electricity supply network.
