Angelovska-Bezhoska: IMF report shows high transparency of the National Bank


At the invitation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), National Bank Governor Anita Angelovska-Bezhoska presented the positive experiences from the evaluation of the transparency of the NBRM with the latest IMF transparency standards.

The IMF concludes in the transparency assessment report that: “The National Bank practices a high level of transparency. This contributes to high public confidence in maintaining its independence and the effectiveness of its policies.”

Referring in more detail to the situation in the domestic economy, Angelovska-Bezhoska emphasized the positive feedback loop from the improvement of communication and transparency in operations, which contributes to increasing the effectiveness in the implementation of macroeconomic policies, as well as the credibility of the institution.
