Dealing with illegal migration is one of Macedonia’s main priorities, says Toshkovski

Macedonian Interior Minister PancheToshkovski, who’s attending the Ministerial Conference of the Salzburg Forum held Tuesday and Wednesday in Austria, addressed the forum and emphasized that the strategic priority of the country is integration into the European family.

“On our part, all effort will be made to ensure the inviolable rule of law, the implementation of laws and the strengthening of the rule of law,” said Minister Toshkovski.

“The migration flows along the so-called Eastern-Mediterranean route continues to be one of the main challenges of the Ministry of Interior. In that direction, the management and strengthening of borders, dealing with illegal migration, as well as other forms of cross-border crime are one of our main priorities, but at the same time one of our challenges,” stressed Minister Toshkovski.
