Venko Filipche is the guardian of Zoran Zaev’s helm in SDS. This is a general impression in the public, and even in the SDS itself, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release. Both members and officials of the party say that SDS is a trapped party, that the party leader elections were compromised and were not democratic, with numerous remarks and abuses.
SDS members and officials themselves say that phantoms were on the voter list, that members were not allowed to vote, so that in the end Filipche was elected with 9,000 votes out of 80,000 members.
Filipche and Zaev should know that no leadership position will save them from being held accountable for the abuses that occurred during their terms. The public still remembers the scandal with the procurement of vaccines, the bloody tender, the attempts to privatize public healthcare and finally the disaster with the modular hospital, said the ruling party.
