The price of Skopje household heating will drop as of August 1 by 3.16 percent for ESM consumers; by 1.71 percent for the consumers of the Skopje-Sever thermal power plant; and by 0.5 percent for the consumers of ESM Energetika.

Citizens will receive subsidies as of the July bill, and they will no longer be available in the August bill, said the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) president Marko Bislimoski.

Bislimoski emphasized that the prices of natural gas on the market have been reduced and stabilized and that there is no need for the state to further subsidize part of the amount calculated in the citizens’ invoices.
