Macedonian Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani will present the report on the use of EU funds through the IPA funds at the Government session Tuesday and will ask the Government for additional hiring.
At a press conference before the session, the minister said that the need to complete the IPA structure was “urgent”, as there was a significant lack of sufficient numbers and qualified personnel in the national IPA structure.
“I will propose to the Government to review the plans for employment in the IPA structure, which is made in accordance with European rules and good practices, and I will propose prioritization of employment in line ministries, such as Finance, Transport, Environment and simple planning, Economy and Labor, the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, but also the public enterprises that will implement infrastructure projects,” said Murtezani.
