The wildfire that broke out above the village of Negrevo in Pehchevo on Tuesday has been contained. The efforts to extinguish the fire lasted for almost two days, with the wildfire threatening to engulf the town of Pehchevo on Thursday.
The Municipality of Pehchevo thanked everyone involved in the efforts to put out the blaze. It urged citizens to remain vigilant since the high temperatures could cause other large fires.
A pine forest was affected by the wildfire, with the exact burnt area yet to be determined by the Municipality and the relevant authorities.
