The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of N. Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, visited the “St. Prohor Pchinjski” monastery on Republic Day – Ilinden on Friday. They held a bilateral meeting where the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries were confirmed.
President Siljanovska-Davkova thanked for the opportunity to visit the Prohor Pchinski monastery, where the first session of ASNOM took place 80 years ago.
“Thank you also for the understanding because it is logical to celebrate where it had happened. Perhaps, it would be best to regulate this by signing an agreement and by doing so, we will set a good example,” said the Macedonian head of state. Speaking to members of the media, she said she champions regional cooperation and thanked Serbia for sending assistance to the Macedonian authorities in the firefighting efforts.
