On August 2 Republic Day – Ilinden, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski set aside time to go to the village of Tashmarunishta near Struga, where he regularly marks this great historic day.
“As the leader of the opposition, I commemorated Ilinden in the Struga village of Tashmarunishta. And now that I have the honor and the obligation to lead the Government despite the packed agenda, I found time and visited this beautiful place with warm-hearted people who celebrate the memory of the Ilinden battle. Ilinden is defiance and an eternal struggle for freedom, justice, now translated into an aspiration and battle for a future that Macedonia deserves,” said Mickoski in a Facebook post.
