A total of 42 wildfires were registered Saturday in the country, five of which are still active. Four have been placed under control while 33 have been extinguished, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said on Sunday.
There are active wildfires in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod near the village of Tazhevo; in the municipalities of Demir Hisar and Ohrid near Ilinska Mountain; in the Municipality of Ohrid near the village of Kosel; in the Municipality of Bogdanci in Pogana; and in the Municipality of Probishtip near the villages of Zelenigrad and Jamishte, the CMC said.
