In an interview with Fokus.mk, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski emphasizes that there are clues and evidence of epic crime and misuse of large sums of money, in several institutions by the previous government of SDSM and DUI, which the authorities should seriously investigate, because there is a lack of funds and there are no projects and implementation on the ground.
“If there’s a shortage of MKD 5 billion, which is more than 80 million euros, to pay regular pensions, I’m talking about regular pensions, without those 2 times annual adjustments according to the law, without raises. And, when you see in certain other institutions, where certain projects are financed, which were essential and important for DUI above all, but also for SDSM, then you come to the conclusion that someone here consciously misused the budget to finance projects, through that there are reasonable suspicions that the money has been misused. On the ground, we do not see the realization and progress of those projects. First of all, I am thinking of the projects related to the construction of Corridor 8 and 10-D,” said Mickoski.
The PM pointed out that “half a billion denars are also missing in the PE National Forests, that is, over 8 million euros, funds made for debts, but if you see that the invoices are twice, three times larger than usual, then you ask yourself the question whether someone there tried to abuse funds”.
