FM Mucunski meets with United Macedonian Diaspora representatives

Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Timcho Mucunski held a working meeting on Monday with representatives of the United Macedonian Diaspora, including President Meto Koloski, Vice-president Aleksandar Mitreski and director for Europe Gordan Jordanov.
Both parties expressed mutual satisfaction with the meeting, which, as they pointed out, is aimed at strengthening the relationship between the country and the diaspora, which undoubtedly contributes to the representation of Macedonian interests, international affirmation of the country and promotion of Macedonian values, identity and culture, the Ministry said in a press release.
FM Timcho Mucunski pointed out that the new Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade pay serious attention to nurturing ties and taking care of improving the position and rights of Macedonians outside the country, promoting the process of learning the Macedonian language, as well as improving communication and cooperation between Macedonian organizations abroad and state institutions at home.
Interlocutors welcomed the announced National Strategy for Cooperation with the Diaspora, regarding which operational cooperation for data exchange will be established in the coming period.
