Implementing projects that bring added value, contribute to GDP growth, and benefit the citizens is what the country needs right now. Projects that will mean lower costs for companies and will ease the conditions for doing business, Macedonian Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska said regarding the project for construction of the railway on Corridor 8.

“The goal is to get the same conditions and funds, as for Corridor 8, only for another project. The ultimate goal is to provide the same funds for the railway from Corridor 10, as for the railway from Corridor 8. Citizens do not care if it is a new application or something like that, what matters to them is the benefit from the project itself, and that is the essence,” said Dimitrieska-Kochoska in an interview with Macedonian Radio.

As the minister explained, the goal is to enable companies to transport goods by rail from the port of Thessaloniki, which is closer and which creates lower costs for them, and with the realization of the project from Corridor 10 to further reduce those costs.
