A total of 23 wildfires were recorded in the past 24 hours. Of those, three are still burning and six have been contained, whereas 14 have been put out, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said on Tuesday.
The first of the three still active fires is in the municipality of Makedonski Brod – in the area near the villages of Tazhevo and Breznica – a branch towards the Jasen national park. The second active fire is on the territory of two municipalities – Demir Hisar and Ohrid, on Ilinska Mountain, near the villages of Vitovo, Bazernik, Malo Ilino and Brezhani. The third is in the territory of the municipalities of Bogdanci and Dojran, near the village of Furka.
The six wildfiress that are under control are in the municipalities of Probishtip – near the villages of Zelenigrad and Jamishte, Makedonski Brod – near the village of Slatina, Ohrid – one on the territory of Mount Galichica, and the other near Kosel – Rasino – Openica – Vapila, Plasnica – extinguished near the village with this name, active near Latovo and at a landfill near Delchevo.
