The cost of living in July 2024 (inflation), compared to the same July 2023, increased by 3.0%, and retail prices by 3.9%, the State Statistics Office said on Wednesday.
Inflation measured by the cost of living index in July compared to the previous month, June 2024, is 0.7%. Retail prices, on the other hand, in July compared to the previous month recorded a growth of 1.5%.
The inflation hike is the result of the increase in the cost of living in the following groups: restaurants and hotels by 5.8%, transport by 4.9%, recreation and culture by 1.2%, health, various goods and services by 0.6%, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels for 0.3%, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics for 0.1%.
