Macedonian Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska said on Thursday that students will not have a spring break and the school year will end of June 10, except for the graduates.

The final surveys conducted on parents showed that they do not want it, but the older pupils share the same opinion.

There will be no spring break this year, Janevska said in a statement to the media, adding that the school year will begin on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Last school year, elementary and high schools were on spring break as of Monday, April 29 to May 6. For the first time, there was a change in the school calendar, so the 2023/2024 year for elementary school pupils ended on June 17, while for high school goers, as in past years, on June 10.
