All three concerts by the U.S. pop star Taylor Swift in Vienna were cancelled after police arrested two men suspected of planning terror attacks. Austrian media reported that a man, 19, hailed from North Macedonia. Police are searching for three other suspects.
The General Director of Public Security at the Austrian Ministry of Interior, Franz Ruf, described the 19-year-old arrested in Ternitz as the “immediate main perpetrator”, while the second arrested person is a 17-year-old, the Austrian news agency APA reports.
Ruf added that these are still being evaluated by investigators. He previously confirmed during a press conference on Wednesday that chemical substances had been secured and were being evaluated.
