A public prosecutor from the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated proceedings against three persons – a father and his two sons, who are suspected of having committed the offense of causing general danger.
The three co-perpetrators, with the intention of causing general danger to the people or to large-scale property, caused a fire on August 9, pouring flammable liquid on forest land by a local road near Skopje, and set fire to low-stemmed forest and dry grass with a lighter.
The burned land is in state property, and there was a danger that the fire would spread to a larger area of low-stemmed and high-stemmed forest, and even cover a part of the “Jasen” National Park.
