The Government is not giving up on the idea of dissolution of the Republic’s Judicial Council and the Council of Public Prosecutors, as this represents a reform of these institutions for which we publicly called for a debate, the Government’s office said in a press release on Sunday.
“The institutions in the country work according to the applicable laws and the Constitution. All the resulting documents must be in accordance with the applicable laws and the Constitution. The government does not give up on the idea of dissolving the Republican Judicial Council and the Council of Prosecutors, which represents a reform of these institutions for which we publicly called for a discussion and we will remind you that they have less than 2 percent trust,” the Government said.
“Their non-dissolution will mean the continuation of the agony of some judges and prosecutors obedient to the government, according to the same principle as if they were replaced by others in the past. That, the Government emphasizes, is not our goal, nor our commitment.
We understand that many are scared and worried about the dissolution of these institutions, but the time is coming for changes and a chance for professional and capable staff,” adds the press release.
