The third edition of the Mediterranean and Balkan film festival “Across the Lake” was solemnly closed with the award ceremony on Sunday in Dojran.

The international jury composed of: Electra Venaki from Greece, Predrag Pedza Milojević from Serbia and the laureate of this year’s “Meto Jovanovski” Award, the actor Vlado Jovanovski, decided that the Grand Prix for the best Mediterranean and Balkan film should go to the Greek dystopian drama “Tishina 6- 9”, directed by Christos Passalis. The film belongs to the new Greek so-called weird film wave, led by world cinematographic star Yorgos Lanthimos.

The award for the best short film went to this year’s Cannes winner “The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent”, by Nebojša Slijepčević, who tells us a short poignant post-war drama.
