Capital expenditures with the 2024 Budget revision are not affected. The figures show that the amount is the same, only it has been converted to projects that are expected to have accelerated dynamics, said Macedonian Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska in an interview with Sitel TV News.
“When you look at the numbers you can see that the amount is the same. Now there are no funds for corruption and crime, but there are exactly funds intended for the implementation of projects, money that will be allocated to projects that have added value. Capital projects remain. Funds have been transferred from those capital infrastructure projects with weaker implementation to the municipalities, because we know that there are ready-made projects in all municipalities that will be able to be implemented. We cannot keep funds for capital investments for something that will not be realized,” said the finance minister.
Dimitrieska-Kochoska added that advances without any realization will not be paid, but that it will be paid on the basis of realization.
