The telemetric seismological network of the Republic of North Macedonia, at the seismological stations installed throughout our territory, maintained by the Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Skopje, early Thursday morning, August 15, 2024, registered an earthquake whose epicenter is located in the neighboring Republic of Greece and belongs to the epicentral Gevgelija-Gumendza area, 140 km southeast of Skopje, informs the Seismological Observatory.
The earthquake occurred at 03:24 with a local magnitude of ML2.4.
According to the data available to the observatory so far, the earthquake was felt by the residents of Bogdanci and the surrounding area, with an intensity of III degrees according to the European macroseismic scale.
