The Department of Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, submitted a criminal complaint to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption – Specialized Department for Prosecution of Crimes Committed by Persons with Police Powers and Members of the Prison Police against K.S. – a police officer at the Bit Pazar Police Station due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed abuse of office by sexual assault under Article 189 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
On 31.07.2024 at around 10:30 p.m. on the Krste Misirkov Blvd. in Skopje, the accused performed traffic control and abused his position in such a way that after the driver stopped the vehicle at his signal, he opened the door of the vehicle and inappropriately touched the driver.
The Department of Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards against police officer K.S. will submit a proposal for initiating a procedure for determining disciplinary responsibility and will issue mandatory measures for removal from the workplace until the disciplinary procedure is completed.
