The Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora announced that it was informed by the Kosovo Embassy in Macedonia that the Macedonian authorities changed the security measure of the former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Blerim Ramadani, from house arrest to detention before he escaped from house arrest which lived in the house of his relatives in Skopje.
The ministry told Gazeta Express that the information about the change in the security measure for Ramadani, who was arrested on the basis of an international warrant, was given by his lawyer.
“We inform you that the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in N. Macedonia has been notified by the lawyer of Mr. Ramadani that his security measure was changed from house arrest to detention, while he was waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court,” reads the Kosovo MFA’s statement.
