Macedonian Minister of Transport and Communications Aleksandar Nikoloski said Monday that the goal of the announced changes in the telecommunications market with the potential entry of Hungary’s “4iG Group” is for the citizens to receive higher quality services for less money since, according to the Minister, “the current duopoly” only leads to an increase in prices
“The mobile services prices are not only not decreasing, but they are going up. There is no competition either in terms of offering better services or in terms of cheaper prices for citizens. We face problems every day because this duopoly exists – whether it is the way in which base stations are set up, whether it is the services that are delivered to the citizens, the quality is not at the appropriate level,” said Nikoloski during his visit to Kavadarci.
