The Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards at the Ministry of Interior filed a criminal complaint against V.R. – inspector for cross-border crime and migrations Struga in the Department for cross-border crime, migrations, foreigners and readmission in the Regional Center for Border Affairs West, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the crime of “theft of electricity, thermal energy or natural gas” according to Article 235-a of the Criminal Code.
On June 11, 2024, EVN Struga employees stated that the reported V.R. carries out unauthorized taking of three-phase electricity in his house in the village of Delgoshti, Struga. The reported one committed electricity theft from an EVN pole through an electricity meter installed in the house owned by his deceased father, from where an electricity cable was connected to his house.
