Macedonian Health Minister ArbenTaravari confirmed that the number of registered COVID-19 cases in the country has increased and indicated that the anti-COVID rules for ventilation and hygiene should be respected.

“The number of registered COVID-19 cases went up in the country. We need to adhere to the rules – open rooms, no more people in the same place, maintaining hygiene. However, patients who are treated at the clinics for a certain disease, and in the meantime become infected with COVID, the recommendations are to continue treatment in the same clinic, the consular infectious disease specialist should give a recommendation for additional therapy if necessary. Most patients apparently pass it asymptomatically or with a very mild form of symptoms,” Minister Taravari said at a press conference where nine new generic medications on the Positive List were launched.
