TPP REK Bitola’s Bloc 1 was shut down around 12 pm Wednesday due to an outage of a 110 kV transmission line in MEPSO’s system. The regular and normal functioning of Block 1 was interrupted because at the critical moment, the plant could not deliver the produced electricity to the power system, after which the block was shut down according to safety protocols, AD ESM said on Wednesday.
The interruption in the supply of electricity in several settlements in Bitola during the same period when Block 1 of TPP REK Bitola was also without voltage is due to the same problem, caused by the transmission line of MEPSO and has nothing to do with the operation of the plant. At the same time, electricity production from Block 2 is taking place without problems. Overhaul activities are underway at Block 3.
