Macedonian juniors win three bronze medals at 2024 European Informatics Olympiad

At the 8th consecutive 2024 European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI), which was held from August 16 to 22 in Chisinau, Moldova, the young Macedonian students – computer scientists continued the continuity of excellent performances at international Olympiads, winning three bronze medals.

The bronze medals for Macedonia at this most prestigious international competition in programming for students aged up to 15.5 years were won by Vladimir Grchev from Kochani, Nikola Stojkovski from Skopje and Marko Krenkov from Strumica. The fourth member of the Macedonian team was Bisera Ilieva from Skopje, who, like Marko Krenkov, participated for the first time in an international competition in informatics. The team was led by the leaders, Vladislav Bidikov and Ivan Zanov from the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering (FISCE).

These students were selected through a year-round cycle of competitions, which is regularly organized by the Association of Computer Scientists of Macedonia (ACSM), and this year was held for the 35th time. The competitions are held through the mendo.mk system, which is available throughout the year for all interested competitors.
