The Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) has been notified by the Ministry of Interior that a person suspected of being involved in the criminal-legal event – murder at the Mavrovka shopping mall – has been arrested on Wednesday.
“The expertise of the material evidence is in progress, which establishes the validity of the suspicions about the involvement of this person in the event. Considering that the detainee is a convicted person for another crime and was on the run from the Skopje prison based on the issued warrant and after consultation with the public prosecutor, he was returned to the prison today with maximum security measures,” informed the PPO.
For this criminal-legal event, the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office previously initiated an investigation against one suspect, who is being prosecuted for criminal offenses – murder, attempted murder and illegal possession of firearm, and who, on the proposal of the public prosecutor, was sentenced to a 30-day detention.
