With a solemn ceremony at Skenderbeg Square in Skopje, among politicians, diplomats and activists, the Democratic Movement marked the first anniversary since its establishment.

The leader of the Democratic Movement Izet Mexhiti told the audience that this first year of the party was successful and with comprehensive growth.

“A year ago, when we created the Democratic Movement, many doubted the possibility of change. But we believed and thanks to the common commitment we built a consolidated political force, which has already spread throughout the country,” said Mexhiti.

The party leader added that “it has been proven that we are more than a party – we are a movement that has broken fear and instilled real hope for change”.
