The Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) announces that extraordinary inspections will continue in Skopje, after inconsistencies in terms of hygiene and the placing on the market of unsafe products were determined at some food operators last week.

At the same time, regular controls are carried out in accordance with the Annual Plan, said the FVA.

Last week, increased controls were implemented in the capital as a frequent tourist destination. Controls were carried out at food operators, including Bit Pazar, Plasticharska Street and the Old Skopje Bazaar. There, controls were carried out at 62 operators – coffee bars, restaurants, inns, sandwich shops, bakeries, pastry shops, burek shops, kebab shops, butchers and tea houses, etc.
