The prison sentence for former Minister of Interior Mitko Chavkov, sentenced to 18 years for terrorism after the April 27 events, 2017 in the Parliament, has been suspended until November 21.
The Shtip prison says that six people received a break in serving their sentence due to medical reasons.
Shtip Prison warden Dejan Zdravkov, confirmed the information that by a court decision, the suspension of serving the sentence was extended for Mitko Chavkov (until November 21), Mitko Peshov (until November 16), Oliver Popovski (until September 22), and Dushko Lazarov (until September 25). Aleksandar Janevski – Toshta and Jane Cento finished their suspension and returned to prison on August 14.
The Criminal Court said that five people, convicted for the April 27 events, asked the court to suspend their sentences. The court granted a break to three of them, for one convict the decision is being drafted, and one of the requests was rejected due to incomplete documentation.
