The Government passed a new Law on amendments and additions to the Law on the realization of the Kichevo-Ohrid highway, which I hope will be adopted by the Parliament next week and with it one of the basic problems for the realization of the highway will be solved, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport AleksandarNikoloski said in a press briefing on Friday.
The legal changes are in the part of the technical characteristics of the asphalt used to finalize the final layers of the highway section, adapted to the domestic geological conditions.
“With the passing of this law, we immediately start paving the final parts of certain sections and to be more specific, already next spring we will have parts of the highway that will be fully operational. I expect that by the end of 2026 we will have a finally completed highway,” said Minister Nikoloski.
