Education is the key to the survival and development of a society. The Republic of Macedonia and the current Government led by VMRO-DPMNE should and must provide funds for the continuation of the wage growth for the teaching staff, something that has been happening for the past few years. I don’t think that the wage level now is enough for us to say that the people who take care, raise and educate our children every day is enough. And there is no compromise here, SDSM party leader candidate Jovan Despotovski said in a Facebook post on Sunday.
“An initiative for legislative changes to reduce the officials’ wages or some other proposal for finding funds would have been much more justified than a protest organized by a political party. Thus, the impression is created that we are making an attempt to group part of the educational staff under the party banner, which is an interference that SDSM fought against 10 years ago,” noted Despotovski.
