For the first time in seven years, the school year begins with textbooks delivered on time to all primary schools in the country. About 10 new titles have been provided in primary and over 100 in secondary education that have not been printed before. Classes will not last longer than June 10 and there will be no spring break. One-shift teaching is introduced in 140 schools, and over 1000 educational assistants will be hired to support students with disabilities. A Protocol for organizing teaching in heat wave conditions has also been drawn up.
“For the first time in seven years, the school year begins with textbooks. This was one of the priorities of my work and I can say that the given word has been successfully fulfilled. All textbooks that have been approved and printed have already been delivered in 60 days in a circulation of 360,000 copies,” said Education Minister Janevska.
