Macedonian Minister of Justice Igor Filkov believes that the decision made by Judge Pajazit Pajaziti to house arrest the former member of the KLA Blekim Ramadani, who then fled the country, is wrong and contrary to the previous practice.
Filkov says that this issue should be a priority, pointing out that the Judicial Council has been waiting for 10 days to decide whether Pajaziti acted in line with the laws.
“”The judge’s decision is not only wrong, it is contrary to the previous practice. And our goal is full application of the laws in the country for everyone without exception. This issue should have priority, and for 10 days we have been waiting for the Judicial Council to decide whether Judge Pajaziti acted in accordance with the laws, which is not the case, and if all the evidence, arguments and facts are reviewed, it will be concluded that no, he did not decide correctly. If we are honest, we will admit that everything that undermines the legal system in the country is reflected in the decision of Judge Pajaziti, against which we will unconditionally fight to change it. That is why we need fundamental reforms,” said Minister Filkov.
