An essential determination of the Government is that education should be accessible to everyone. One of the commitments was, after several years, to ensure timely printing and distribution of free textbooks for all primary school students. This year, learning from scripts and other aids is being put to an end, the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia said in a press release on Tuesday.
For the first time in seven years, the school year begins with timely delivery of textbooks to all primary schools in the country.
At the same time, about 10 new textbook titles in primary and over 100 in secondary education, which have not been printed before, have been provided. The Ministry of Education and Science delivered 360,000 copies of approved textbooks and teaching materials to all students. The obligations that were not done in seven years have been achieved in just two months.
