GDP up by 2.3 percent

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 2.3 percent in the second quarter (Q4) of 2024, said the State Statistics Office (SSO) on Wednesday.

In the second quarter of 2024, a greater increase was observed in the following sectors: Art, entertainment and recreation; Other service activities; Activities of households as employers; activities of households that produce various goods and perform various services for their own needs of 9.5 percent, and 8.7 percent in Professional, scientific and technical activities and Administrative and auxiliary service activities.

Statistical data show that the final consumption of households, including non-profit institutions that serve households, in the second quarter of this year, nominally grows by 4.7 percent, and its participation in the structure of the gross domestic product is 74.5 percent.
