A decision for an investment worth 34.5 million euros for the construction of the campus of the “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje was made at a Government session on Wednesday.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Izet Mexhiti informed at a press conference Wednesday afternoon that the campus will have an amphitheater, offices for the academic department, a sports hall, a swimming pool, and a canteen. It will be a modern complex with all the necessary elements for a better standard for students, informed Mexhiti.

This project, Mexhiti said, is not just an ordinary building, but a symbol of our vision for a bright future for the youth and our country.

“For decades generations have dreamed of such an educational center that will enrich not only the knowledge but also the soul of the entire nation. Today that dream is coming true. About five thousand students from all over the country are enrolled in the “Mother Teresa” University. The project is ready. It has been submitted to the Ministry of Transport. We spoke with Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski and Deputy Minister Kaltrina Zekoli Shaqiri, they are working intensively to obtain the construction permit, which will be one of the conditions, together with the financial basis, to open a tender. Procedures are undeway. A construction permit will also be obtained, which is a prerequisite for the opening, that is, for the foundation stone of the campus,” said the First Deputy PM.
