The latest European Commission report is objective and provides a realistic overview of the country’s situation regarding European integration. It shows a high level of progress and alignment in certain areas, and there is no backsliding in any of the areas assessed by the European Union, Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade TimchoMucunski said inan interview with Sitel TV, noting that Ambassador MichalisRokas himself has confirmed that this year’s report, in terms of content, is more favorable for the country than the previous year’s report.
According to Mucunski, this report and its contents are in the country’s interest and should not be viewed as a deliverable for an international organization like the European Union, but rather as a deliverable for the country’s citizens, adding that these represent high standards that we have invested years of effort to achieve.
FM Mucunski points out that Macedonia demonstrates a high level of alignment in foreign, security, and defense policy, as well as progress in digitalization, science and education. Furthermore, no backsliding has been noted in any of the areas assessed by the European Union.
