Existence of subservient minority within judiciary that serves SDS/DUI, points out PM

Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski in an interview with Alfa TV discussed the judiciary and noted that, alongside the vast majority of honest individuals, there exists a subservient minority that acts in the service of SDSM and DUI.

“Let’s be clear: the vast majority there are honest people who focus on their profession and uphold the rule of law, the statutes, and so on. There is a small group that taints this vast majority. In other words, we have, I would say, a subservient minority that was given an opportunity by the previous administration and is now repaying the favor,” Mickoski noted.

The PM added that the problem stems from three ‘implants’: the general re-election of judges in Parliament during the 1990s, when VMRO-DPMNE was an extra-parliamentary opposition party, the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office (SPO), and the amendments to the Criminal Code enacted by the previous government to grant itself amnesty.
