Filipche loses control, calls PM Mickoski an “idiot”

Leader of the opposition SDSM VenkoFilipche directed severe insults, amounting to hate speech, at the leader of the ruling VMRO-DPMNE and Macedonian Prime Minister HristijanMickoski.

Is this the speech of a man clearly in the midst of a serious crisis and a complex situation? Does Filipche’s behavior reveal intense fear and the impression that he is buckling under internal divisions and pressures within his own party? Is this the speech of a man under duress? Let everyone ask themselves: would you entrust the responsibility for managing your lives to a man who uses words like “idiot” in public discourse?

The problem withVenkoFilipche’s latest outburst, and his display of improper, ill-mannered behavior, is not whether Iceland is part of the common European market. The real question is whether he undertook political commitments he can no longer fulfill, and whether that is the very reason for such agitation. Simply put, why such a fuss over whether Iceland is part of the European market? That is not the point. The fundamental question is why he displays such agitation when the topic turns to Bulgaria and the obligations he advocates.
