At a press conference on Sunday, SDSM leader Venko Filipche accused a small group of former party officials, alongside representatives from other parties, of acting to weaken SDSM at Mickoski’s behest.
“All of Hristijan Mickoski’s satellites gathered in one place. Total schizophrenia,” Filipche said.
He pointed out that former SDSM officials are sitting at the same table with members of the Levica party, a pro-Russian party that has promoted anti-NATO messages, while simultaneously calling for changes within SDSM.
“Is that what they want? Are those their principles and values? This party produced a NATO Deputy Secretary General, yet they sit with people who held up a banner in Parliament declaring NATO a murderer. That is who the coup-plotters were sitting with yesterday. It is with these people, and representatives of other parties, that they are seeking change within SDSM,” Filipche said.
