I would like to present to you today some of the work and activities we have carried out and those currently underway, with a clear goal: to make Krushevo a better place to live and an attractive destination for tourism and sports, said Krushev Mayor Niko Choneski on Sunday.
“Over the past period, we have worked in several areas—ranging from road and utility infrastructure, water supply, and the improvement of public spaces, to urban planning, sports, and tourism,” Choneski said.
In his report on the work accomplished since taking office, the mayor from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE highlighted that improving road infrastructure in Krushevo and throughout the municipality is a key priority.
Choneski noted that construction has begun on the access road to the ski slopes; this will provide better and safer access to this important tourism and sports site and will connect to the future bypass around Krushevo. The bypass project is currently in the tendering phase, and its completion is expected to significantly ease traffic flow through the town, particularly for heavy goods vehicles.
“We have placed special emphasis on one of the most important issues for any municipality, a reliable, high-quality water supply. A study is currently underway to reduce drinking water losses in Kruševo, aiming to maximize the use of gravity-fed sources and identify the sections of the system with the highest water losses, which will be prioritized for reconstruction,” said Choneski, adding that the reconstruction of the Krushevo water supply pumping station building has been completed, and a tender process is underway for the complete replacement of the hydraulic and electrical equipment.
